I thought I would go over a few seed, starting Basics, the first few months of the year, are really exciting for me. I work at a garden store and I can just feel the energy of the upcoming spring building, be lots of people are coming in and telling me about their garden plans and it's just a really fun time of year for me. The most important thing for success with seed, starting our light water heat, proper containers in seed, starting soil, and air circulation. So, I've got my containers, you can pretty much. That has a dome on it for my pots. To me. The Dome is essential. It helps create more of a greenhouse environment and it helps your soil not to dry out quite as quickly. And then I like to use peat pots because it makes it way easier when it's time to repot this tray will fit 32 of this size pot total. So I'm going to be starting 20 geraniums and 12 pots of Basil. Next is the seed starting mix you can find recipes for homemade seed starting mix all over the place, but I like to just Grab a bag of the already made stuff way easier. Way quicker. I'm using organic fox farm ocean forest soil, which is great for both seed starting and for more mature plans. I like to moisten the soil a little bit before adding it to the container. And then I fill up all the pots, almost to the top and then plant my seeds. I make sure to read the back of the seed package because it tells you how deep to plant your seed and it's also a wealth of a bunch of other information. I'm going to plant this sweet Italian basil because I use a lot of it when I cook and coral geraniums because it's me.

Cobbled together equipment for quite a few years now, and
I'll probably still use that stuff somewhere else in my house, but some of the
